Warranty

 MACHINE WARRANTY

Techsew machines are covered by our limited lifetime warranty. Your machine purchase includes personalized support for the life of the machine.

Mechanical components are guaranteed for 1 year by Techsew, excluding consumable parts such needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, presser feet, feed dogs, needle bars, belts, thread guides, and hooks or shuttles. Motors are guaranteed for 1 year.

Technical support is provided in the form of email and phone communication, support videos, instructional guides or video calls for diagnosis. Technical support requests can be submitted and are responded to within 48 hours.

The majority of technical support issues are resolved remotely, however in the event that a machine requires in-person repairs, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs to and from our Montreal, Canada facility. Customers are strongly encouraged to keep the original box and packing material for the machine head should it ever need repair. We cannot guarantee safe transport if the machine is not packaged in its original box and foam.

Damages due to improper use, user error, impact damage, unauthorized third party repair, improper electrical supply, natural disaster, abuse, inadequate lubrication, modification, improper storage and normal wear from use of the sewing machine are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the machine and is not transferrable.

Process:

- Buyers must provide sufficient proof of purchase (order number or invoice from Techsew or authorized distributors)
- Visible proof depicting the defect, such as pictures or videos, is required
- Technical support will be provided in the form of email and phone communication, support videos, instructional guides or video calls for diagnosis.
- It may be necessary to return an item for quality inspection
- In the case of a defective part, replacement parts will be provided at no charge, or at Techsew's option, will replace the product.

Not Covered Under Warranty:

- Second hand machines, or machines obtained from the original purchaser
- Machines of a different brand
- Machines obtained from unauthorized resellers
- Machines without sufficient proof of purchase
- Machines that have expired their warranty period
- Damage due to improper use, user error, impact damage, unauthorized third party repair, improper electrical supply, natural disaster, abuse, inadequate lubrication, modification, improper storage, extreme temperatures and normal wear from use of the sewing machine

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Machinery:
All sales are final. Once an order is processing the transaction cannot be canceled. Orders cannot be canceled or refunded for price adjustments or sales.

Exchanges are accepted (restock fee of 15% to 35% will apply) for another machine or for store credit within 30 days of receiving your machine. Orders paid with a third party financing company cannot be returned nor exchanged. A request for a merchandise exchange must be made prior to returning any merchandise.

Any unauthorized returns will be rejected and returned at the customer's expense. Merchandise can only be returned to our location. Customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from our location, as well as any additional charges that may apply. Shipping charges are not refundable. Merchandise must arrive in the same condition as it was received by the buyer.

Merchant transaction fees are not refundable since we do not get refunded these fees by our credit card processor. 

Parts, accessories and supplies:
You have 30 days to return your order for an exchange, or a refund. If we made a mistake or the item was broken, you can rest assured that we will take care of the issue at no cost to you! (Please contact us within 48 hours after receiving your order if there was an issue that we need to resolve.)

If you decide to simply return any items that you ordered for an exchange or a refund, just ship it back to us for a full refund (provided the item(s) is/are in new condition). You must contact us for authorization before sending back any items. Items sent without prior authorization will be rejected and sent back at your expense.

Shipping charges are not refundable. Due to new Paypal policies, all merchant fees and credit card processing fees are no longer refundable and will be subtracted from the refund total.
