all about the machine has been as advertised everything went smoothly even getting some replacement parts damaged in shipping which took a little longer than expected but the machine itself and the company representing the machine Techsew has been better than expected with today's economy .when I need a different machine I'll be sure and contact them I would buy from them again
Love my Techsew Sk-4! Set up was simple and easy. Just hooked the machine up to the table and it was already dialed in. I was hesitant to move towards getting a bell Skiver, but I’m glad I did. It has made life as a leather crafter so much easier. If you’re on the fence about this, stop thinking and pick one up, you’ll be glad you did!
I am so happy with my purchase of this machine. It was easy to set up and sews like a dream. It arrived quicker than expected and communication was excellent through the whole process.
I made an investment in this machine a couple months ago and couldn’t be happier. The customer service Techsew provides is amazing. The machine is very intricate and it helps a ton to be able to text and call the technicians whenever I run into problems. Each time I reach out for advice I leave with newfound knowledge that prepares me to operate the machine for a lifetime.
Overall excellent machine & support. The supplementary material and videos generally need a bit of updating as there were a number of differences, mostly subtle but important and lent to some confusion during set up. I was a complete newbie and this machine was the first fur machine I've seen close up and then operated. I'm happy with the sheepskin sewing work I've done so far but I'm still in the learning phase.
The laser line, the easily installed flat top, the ability to go one stitch at a time - needle always stops in the leather make my 4800 Pro package ideal for my work. I'm able to do really difficult seam work even though I'm a novice at leather craft. I'll get to the high speed stitching soon enough.
Exceeding my expectations! Support team is great and responsive. Machine is top quality.
Great machine. Great service. Quick shipping. Very pleased.
This machine is exactly what I needed and expected. It is a very straightforward, simple and tough machine. It performs well. There is definitely a learning curve but so worth it. The customer service folks have been patient and helpful helpful.
I purchased this machine as a costume maker dealing with large amounts of faux fur and tricky seams that I was only able to hand sew before. This machine is the perfect thing, it sews through bulky faux fur and has tight seams on thinner fabrics like minky aswell. The motor adjustment lets me slow the stitch rate down to sew small details, and the machine in general is very easy to operate. Shipping was simple, and by moving the machine and table separately, I was able to carry and assemble it alone. Separately, each piece is like 50ish lbs. Only issue was the machine seemed to be missing a rubber gasket to go between it and the table making the belt a slightly too loose, but I added my own foam spacer underneath and the added hight fixed the belt tension issue.
Amazing Machine for my custom shoe business!
I haven’t used a sewing machine since I was a teenager and that was only once! But I needed to cut my production time down from being a hand-stitcher, so I chose this baby. I am completely over the moon with my choice, I love it. The support team is incredible and I sewed up my first bag today. Thank you TechSew for making an incredible machine.
Great Machine. Great company! They will help you get your machine working properly when you are having problems. Best machine I have for sewing leather. Stiches are always even and you can slow down to one stich at a time when getting into tight curves.
Let me start with - I am a long time trapper. When the fur market dropped, I decided to spend the money to have my furs tanned and save them. Now, having quite a collection of furs, I decided it was time to try to sew them into products, myself. So (no pun intended), on the advice of an industry insider and with Ron's guidance - I decided to purchase the Techsew 202 Pro machine. I have sewn projects in the past, including a down sleeping bag. But, I would not call myself an expert at sewing.
Though the set-up and start-up information had some holes, the support team was wonderful. In, no time, they had answered my questions and I was up and running. This is a wonderful machine. It does the job I needed it to do. The motor is very powerful, even at very slow start-up speeds. Once set-up, I discovered that all settings of thread and feeder disk tensions were correctly set by TechSew for my initial projects. I've done two projects, so far, one in skunk and the other in beaver.
Let me add, here, that the packaging used in shipping was great. Everything arrived in mint condition.
If you've never used this type of machine before, you need to know that it has a very specific use. It does one type of stitch in one direction. But, it does it very well. I've sewn two layers of beaver fur with a layer of neoprene in between with no hesitation or issues.
This machine is simple to use, powerful and built to last a lifetime. I've found that machinery built well, tends to have an aesthetic elegance. This machine has that.
Let me add that Ron and his team have been a pleasure to work with.
If you need a fur sewing machine, this is the one to get.
Great product
