I am a taxidermist and do a handful of bear rugs and mountain man hats every year. I have always just hand sewn everything up to this point, 25 years, and my hands don’t work like they use to. My wife convinced me to pull the trigger on a machine and after reading reviews and doing a lot of research, the techsew 202 was exactly what I was looking for. It was a big investment but the time it has saved me, and the quality of work I can do with it, it has paid for itself already, I’ve only had it for 2 months.
Variable speed, ease of use, plenty of power for sewing a bear hide, gentle enough to make muskrat mittens. Extremely versatile. Thank you for a perfect machine. My fingers really appreciate it 😂

I have hand sewn furs for years. This machine is a game changer. It is easy to operate and does a great job. The machine is plenty heavy duty for sewing the fur but also the leather and suede. I like the heavy duty table as well.

I purchased this machine as a costume maker dealing with large amounts of faux fur and tricky seams that I was only able to hand sew before. This machine is the perfect thing, it sews through bulky faux fur and has tight seams on thinner fabrics like minky aswell. The motor adjustment lets me slow the stitch rate down to sew small details, and the machine in general is very easy to operate. Shipping was simple, and by moving the machine and table separately, I was able to carry and assemble it alone. Separately, each piece is like 50ish lbs. Only issue was the machine seemed to be missing a rubber gasket to go between it and the table making the belt a slightly too loose, but I added my own foam spacer underneath and the added hight fixed the belt tension issue.

Easy set up, though we had to call Techsew for clarity on confusing assembly instructions. Videos were helpful but not thorough enough for beginners. Overall good experience with our firstTechsew machine.
